Kids under pressure aren’t great liars. Kids who tried to do the right thing are usually pretty straightforward. I almost got convicted of assault with intent to murder because I had touched a knife. An off duty cop who was a prosecution witness told the court I threw the knife away from the scene, which was what I had been saying since the night of the arrest. Not guilty.
