You can smell the lake from the back of the warehouse lot, where the two employee picnic tables sit, the wobbly one and the one that someone carved Eat Pussy in, the ones where the electricians play dominoes while first shift packout at Culmer eats their lunches sitting against the fence.
Jason Petterance knows the lake smell is real, but he hears laughter coming from the lake and he thinks he’s just imagining that part, but the laughter sound returns often, strong to the point that the audio turns visual.
