The knock was normal, didn’t seem impatient or annoyed.
Patton Kedly opened the door and knew immediately that Greg Winston was more than annoyed.
“I want my deposit on Laura’s painting back, Patton. It was for her birthday, you missed that deadline, so I said screw it, make it for our anniversary, that was two weeks ago.”
“She’s a beautiful woman, Greg, it takes time to get a beautiful human face right.”
“You’ve had plenty of time, Patton. Give me my money.”
“Beauty takes more time than you know, Greg.”
