“Long line for a taco joint on a Wednesday at 2 pm.”
Anna saw the sign for Telway in the distance, started craving sliders and shorter lines.
“Long lines usually indicate a place is good.”
Kyle spit his gum out the window of the car as he parked.
Anna drummed her fingers on the dash as she got out.
“Or got one good review from an influencer who has no idea what constitutes a good taco.”
Kyle shrugged.
“You’re probably right. The place has a gimmick.”
Anna shook her head. “No, too many good taquerias in this town to go to a gimmick.”
“Please,” Kyle said
“What’s the gimmick?”Anna asked, piqued by Kyle’s uncharacteristic begging.
“You’ll see.”
