The elevator headed up and Kyle noticed the spray of light that danced into the small gaps in the door at each floor, sliding at an angle horizontally, right to left.
The building was less than five years old. Seemed like the technology would be…better? Different?
The elevator whirred a bit, nothing unusual, but combined with the incursion of light it reminded him, weighed on him.
Mander’s office was on the 38th Floor.
A lot of time to think for someone, like Kyle, who had made up their mind.
He laughed, out loud, alone on the elevator, and might have laughed even if the elevator had been occupied.
