Storch asked to use Tina’s bathroom when they stopped in after the play.
He glanced at her bookshelf on the way out of the living room, then at the photos on the walls of the hallway.
He relieved himself, washed his hands to be polite-he never did after peeing at home-then walked slowly back down the hallway.
“An interesting group of photos in your hallway.”
Tina placed her beer on a coaster.
“Interesting is an interesting choice of words. You say it as though you're puzzled.”
“They seem somewhat out of focus, and the images seem to be very similar, if not identical.”
Tina stood and motioned for Storch to follow.
