Andy Carter slammed the door to Bryan Silewicz’s parent’s house, and Marty had to jump back, because he knew, he could feel, he could remember other stories, where someone tried to force their way into a party and got beat up.
Marty didn’t want that.
He just wanted to say hi.
He walked four miles, maybe more, to Bryan Silewicz’s party, just to say hi to Jill Elliot.
He didn’t want to walk home without saying hi.
