The gas pump is antique, hasn’t pumped a drop since 1974 when Marcia Domber was two and her grandparents ran Domber’s General Store, Gas, Fruit Stand, Orchard, Trucking and Maintenance.
Marcia’s knee is titanium and she knows it when she walks out to discuss the gas pump with people taking photos, especially when she has to walk in from the honeycrisp trees, all of which she named when she was a little girl.
She’s got a piece of cardboard under the register, cardboard her grandfather left, where he and his wife would make a notch every time someone offered to buy the pump. Marcia has continued the tradition at the request of her grandfather.
