The heat from the grill was starting to sweat some of last night’s booze out. Probably some of the booze from the night before that, too. His stomach felt like the still itself, the mash going sour. He didn’t wanna be in the small white building at all, and here he was alone working grill and counter because McClachey’s niece had a soccer game.
