Music and Illusions
An achingly beautiful story, on a day that is painful for many people, for a variety of reasons, and My Crows is the perfect inspiration/companion.
The song drove the story
There is no greater lonliness than for a person who is empty.
Mental illness is something I can see but I do not pretend to understand.
The irony is that one can be lonely in the midst of their own posse.
Nice job introducing a new (to me) song.
It's not my favorite writing work, but it served its purpose. Thanks Joe
There are many examples in history of an author composing a piece which he considered "not my favorite" which history treated as seminal.
A lesson I have learned is to never dismiss my role in an event as it may have meant the world to someone else.
I definitely remember and cherish a song my band basically threw together because I had one of many tantrums about not producing enough new material. The song ended up being our set opener for years.
Great story, but I don't see a link to the song anywhere. Am I just clueless?
In the text of the story about the fictional band having a new song in limbo
Generosity and care!
Two of my favorite things. Especially in the throes of personal frustration.
