Maybe it was a mistake, skipping over questions, answering the ones that came easy.

So Jessica hunted and pecked the questions.
“Was your favorite subject in school a subject you excelled in or reveled in the challenge of?”
This one felt like a trick, more like a question a prospective employer might ask.
She pulled the rope of red licorice from her mouth so she could watch herself bite it in frustration.
