The porch badly needed paint when Corwin bought the house.

He hated the house.

But it was the only one he could afford,  his first one, so they popped the champagne on the porch.

The cork zinged up into the air, knocking some paint chips off the roof of the porch and they laughed.

The street was too busy, he hated the street. But it was his first house.
