I love this one because it relates to something I’ve always believed. The best of us, the real heroes, don’t seek or even want credit for what they do. They were able to do something that needed to be done, so they did it. Humility.
I know a few people who have car company lineage-- like the name in the logo is theirs, and a few who have streets named for great, great grandparents.
I'm not one of those kids.
The free subscribers are pouring in after my anniversary announcement. Frustrates the shit out of me.
The percentage of people who take a chance on a paid subscription is woefully small.
My son got married and they both changed their names to a neutral “third” name. The look on my face when he told me was such that he has excommunicated me from all contact ever since.
I grew up in a dormitory suburb of Liverpool in England . The local library was on ‘Carnegie Avenue’ reflecting the philanthropy of Andrew Carnegie. I think it is nice to know that he acted in the interests of others and I can forgive him some narcissism. I suspect the aldermen bestowed the name on the avenue, reflecting their gratitude.
Same last name?
An amazing coincidence!

Congratulations on four years plus one, from a paid subscriber. Don’t give up!
A defibrillator in a 3rd grade classroom is very weird, but you know what they say; better to have and not need, than need and not have.
Once one gets to their 50th anniversary, or their 50th reunion ,none of this crap matters, everyone is thankful they are vertical every day.❤️
People don't like it when family members adopt different names randomly. I promise 😎

I hope they are both happy.
I love it. Defibrillators in all 3rd grade classrooms!
