This Easter story has all the crew together- the stigmata of the hero, his act of grace, the thread of confounding circumstances- and the insistence on Eddie’s elevation.
You lead here, not me, but must say I find threads in your stories that take me - and anyone who would - make that should - study your themes. It could be a course in modern lit.
I try to have some underlying messages and certainly Eddie being ok with a bit of self harm was one of them. I was raised Catholic but just missed the subconscious Easter parallels

Interesting take!
It’s just that time of year.
I love this breakdown of it. That’s a Wow.

I was marched through bloody reenactments - you should try an Easter season on a 1960s Greek island.
Excellent. As per usual.
Thank you. I liked it a lot and I wrote it while a cold/flu combo was pummeling me. Gotta get better for a big audition tomorrow
Eddie's a true hero. Bus drivers are rarely heroes in fiction. Groundbreaking. Legend.
I love spotlighting under appreciated people
Excellent story.
Drove busses for many years - school and city.
"What if" is always on your mind.
The motto is: "Hit nothing but air".
I rode a bus to high school. I’m sure I was one of the worst occupants
Great story
Thanks Vince. It feels like I’m putting some good work out there
Great cross-section of characters! But I like how Patris described them as the crew :)
It didn’t feel ensemble to me. I was mostly in Eddie’s head while I was writing
I love this stuff!
I’m thrilled you love it. Especially because the same people taught us the craft.
