Wonderful lesson in there. And, by the way, “As Waite took a step forward the man scurried off like someone who had heard a stove timer.” Is brilliant.
i don't know how to cross-post....and i'm not downloading the app. i have enough tech companies tracking me already. {Edit: apparently it's only available for free posts. makes sense. that's why the option doesn't pop up for me on this one}
I really thought publishing every day would be best for me. I really believed this platform had a lot of potential. Some of the bad stuff in my life ( recuperating from both strikes among them ) isn't Substack's fault, but all the energy I've put into growing this thing has resulted in a flat line . I still believe 1000 people in this universe would gladly pay for it, but no one knows about it
Beautiful.
Thanks. It was really vivid in my head. More than usual.
I love this one. I want to be that young lady.
You have granddaughters just as smart
I want all girls who go to, wherever they go now instead of Ladywood, to have a similar experience.
I'm also 100% sure my girls have done something similar. And, 100% sure my youngest could take those fellas at their own game. Very well done.
I'm really happy that mothers of daughters like it.

It was...I also liked "Father Jerry shook his head no, and beyond the shake Waite Elliot saw the collar of his daughter’s cashmere coat."
Thanks. I cross-posted one of yours. Don't know if they notified you.
they did. i dropped an email to say thanks, or at least i think i did. seems like there's a zillion new features recently.

Thanks. I love thinking of lines like that. I can see the action and it's fun to capture it.
Fun story. Good lesson. Well done.
Jef is full of good lessons in his work. I'm just wakeboarding behind him. 😎
Some interesting lessons for life in this one.
Oye!
That's a screenplay right there! Keep Going Jimmy!
I doubt I'm going to continue much longer
Do what's best for you Jimmy
All the best, lots of love Brother

That old saying,”Can’t judge a Book By its Cover.” Great values at an early age or not enough age to warp the thought processes. Enjoyed
Thanks Carol. Go ahead and share it with your friends
