Oh God, Jimmy, that last line got me. I’m sitting here in the OR (as the nurse, not the patient lol) and I’m almost in tears.

Bravo!

Kurt got a glimmer. Sometimes that little piece of sparkly sand is all you need to make a pearl in your mind.

I had a girl do that to me once.

And then tried to get me fired.

Fortunately, HR was up to the task (I wasn't her first).

Great ending, Jimmy!

I had a good friend in HR who tipped me off regarding the investigation as it was all news to me!

Makes me cringe when I read about innocent men doing years in jail for a crime they didn't even know about until after their arrest.

Impressive. You do a lot with little space. Well done. As a man this story is of course incredibly relatable. Meeting a woman, having a chance encounter, some brief dialogue, something pulling you apart, that constant wondering: Does she find me attractive? Does she like me? Is she flirting? Am I totally crazy? And then the finalizing goodbye, and done.

Those kinds of little interactions are just so common that it's inevitable they make their way into our fiction. I tried to give this one an air of mystery. Is he going to do something crazy/ creepy?
