Recognizable as your style - which is pretty distinct AND really, really good. City story that had that a twist I suspected would turn and it did and I liked it.
Regardless of genre, who doesn’t love a good twist ending? It’s satisfying, and I’ve become so jaded by writing craft books that I usually see them coming a mile away but you buried the foreshadowing elegantly.

I always have fun turning the trail to a different part of the forest
That was interesting - and very vivid.
Sounds like you had a good time writing it.
Probably more than 20% of normal.
I'm trying to have fun. And the writing part is mostly fun. I'm not one of those people who agonizes over the creation.
Interesting contrast between true creativity vs. mere talent.
I know some artists who are visionaries and some who are very lucky at splattering paint.
Why can’t I restack this comment? So good.
I don't have any restrictions on it. I'd be happy with you restacking anything

Thanks. That's an element I work at- the very subtle poker table tell.
Jimmy, so good. Is this something you start and finish in one day. Or do you have many stories going all at once?
One a day. Focus. Make it the best I can make it in the time I have. Some days that most of the day. Other days it's an hour.
This one made me smile.
Thanks for the subscription and the kind words. Dig through the whole archive. I know there are more you'll love
Like that Tanya came out on top and was going to be smart and use this guy to create a new style.
