and the cycle continues.

So sad.

I didn't look at the bigger picture while writing. Just Walter Durbman. The kind of life that is generally unexamined.

Once upon a time, I drove city busses for eight years in CA and FL.

There are many lives who are generally unexamined as we all live in our own bubbles and tend to forget not all choose to live conventionally while many are forced by choices and/or circumstances to live unconventially.

Thank you for sharing a glimpse of Walter Durbman.

There's a story in my book Humans, Being about a bus encounter between a high school girl and a homeless guy. It's one of my favorites. I love bus encounters.

I was on the Mack bus once and got to talking to a rather manic guy about the lottery. He told me played a certain number because it was Harriet Tubman's birthday. He was very passionate about it. Harriet Tubman's exact date of birth is unknown.

Read this one twice. Liked it even better the second time.

Sometimes good ones take a second look. I do that too.

the ceramic eggs will never hatch, easy to crack, but not as easy to break. Hard, but not strong. The story is heartbreaking. but I still choose to see a little hope. No one can do that like you.

This one always felt like it had a pall over it. For a lot of different reasons. And there is always hope, I hope.

Everyone deserves to feel "loved" even if only for an hour. I often wish i could pay by the hour for that feeling.

I don't think Durbman has any clue what love is, I think he just hates to wait for anything.

That is why I put "love" in quotation marks. It is a different thing to everyone. Sex workers provide something like this to people. That is not enough for someone like me, but I often wish I could get some kind of substitute in a transactional way...like when I need it.

Like the human library in Denmark or Norway, where you can rent someone for conversation
