Thanks. Obviously different from my norm but it felt like something that would resonate.

That was incredible. Life can change, life can end, in one moment. At first, when reflecting, I was thinking it was all about the story line, but the character description is what propelled it. Expertly written.

Thanks. The hardest decision in the story was whether or not to divulge a name. The character is 100% fictional, but I knew a name would change the dynamic

This made my hair stand up! I have a big knife under my mattress and this reminds me of THAT! I sure hadn't thought of it in a minute. Life can turn on a dime and it is more precious than anything.

Thanks. I hope you never have to use the knife. If you do, show the knife and kick the balls.Guys cannot recover from that very quickly.

Yeah, the encounter just felt like that's where it would really go. Noisy intruders generally aren't pros.

Ouch. This is making me think too much. The guy had no life, yet he was alive. I know someone like this. Someone I care about very much. Now I really want to scream at him to go out and get a life because you never know when it's going to end. There's way more to life than work.

I swear people like that can be prodded out of their comfort zone once in a while and not die.
