I, a very sensitive queer, didn't even register that dialogue as *you* choosing to write a slur because it felt so authentic to the character.

That's exactly what it was. 3 day violent drunk on a swing is gonna say some shit. Thanks for backing me up on it.

That was real, man.

It's very sorry to be in.

Although I've never been a drinker, I've been to the meetings with friends and I know how toxic the life was and how proud they were to get their medallion.

Happy for your 6 years.

Keep it up.

Thanks. I'm grateful to be sober, but not pissed at all that I had the life I had. Certainly sorry for pain I may have caused along the way, but I had some amazing experiences. (And I was not a violent drunk. Sloppy AF, but not violent)

Learn from the past.

Look forward to the future.

Your stories do that every day.

Thank you.

Another great piece of work Jimmy. I’ve heard those same words, stood in the same scenery and felt the all of the feelings that are weaved all throughout this story. It’s all painted very clearly here, to no surprise. Again, thanks for sharing.

Someone could probably compile a nonfiction book of people's "swing stories".

Without a doubt. I’m guessing most of us have at least a few.
