Wow!

Another standout story from an unexpected perspective.

Thanks for always being there with the encouragement, J/S. I got a little misty thinking of some relationships that didn't work out.

I dont read much fantasy allthough lately ive been reading this totally surreal, hilarious, sexy, and one of the most daring and delightful writers Ive ever read on my 78 years on this kaleidiscopic earth that has, paws down, the most amazing writing talent to twirl through all the galaxies and diners. Her name is Vi Khi Nao. She's from Vietnam. Got an MFA from Brown which, if someone feels they need ( can afford an MFA which in our time replaes what for our parent and grandparents the assumed and often very definite security and waged comfort of THE UNION CARD that Regan and Co have tried shredding but we keep keeping on the heat cause there is no other choice NITE.

A little touching at the end. But as soon as you mentioned Delray, I smelled Zug Island and the old Hungry Brain.

Here's my perspective: If they reunited for a moment or more on the bridge, that's too much. This is simply a desire stated and left under a windshield wiper. A guy with a relatively mundane job that somehow includes being close to death wants one last good memory before he walks away. Will he get it? Who knows? But he took it as far as he could take it.

Yup, leave ‘em wondering. Again, making us care about what happens to the characters.
