Love the way you build a story brick by brick, every line another brick and when it's done, it's beautiful. And sturdy. This story could have been 3,000 words and would have still said the same thing.
Too late for the book on this one? This would be a good candidate for sure.
When I read that Tazzy was blind and shooting at rabbits, I thought it was going to be revealed that he accidentally shot someone. I wasn’t expecting what actually happened. Poor Tazzy.
Ugh. That’s heart wrenching, and it happens fast. Glad you made ‘em DNR and not just “cops”.
Great line:
“He shot one his third try, and let’s say, I don’t know, like his 410th.”
As usual, love the way the plot lines all tie together at the end.
And Stabler better get over here and wash my damned truck.
Illegal hunting is definitely DNR jurisdiction.
I'm glad you caught the Stabler homage.

Thanks Jim. 960 stories in the archive, 60 in the book. I think I should have enough for a second book of these if the first one sells.
That's a nice read. 👌 It's never simple, is it? Like the personalities.
Life can be simplified, but it's never, ever simple
Mmmh.
Again, I love the Storytelling. When does your book come out? Should we pre order? We want it to be everything you hope it will be in sales.
I had to set the book release back a bit to do it right. I know the book will be better for it. I'll announce presales on here.
down to earth storytelling, I like it.
Thanks. I try to keep em varied. I'm a city kid but don't always wanna tell city stories
cities are jungles, too! I'll stick around, and see what else you got!
Try Grandmaster, or for city mayhem deeply rooted in real life: Before You Die.
will do, first things first. word count for the day. happy writing, Jimmy!
Great story. When what seems like endless summer fun turns into disaster, that's a tragedy.
I'm the Rustbelt Shakespeare

I like to twist it up a bit. You know that.
Very true!
