Apparently people want endless listicles about what 5 books to read to launch their writing career...I don't think it's really your style, but I keep hearing how Brandon Sanderson did a Kickstarter campaign to raise a bunch of money for one of his books or something like that. I can't vouch for the truthiness of that, but maybe it's an option.
I'm still working on it while many have retired - there's no quick or easy answer.
Life's not fair, but I have my health and strength to keep on going, for which I am very thankful.
I don't pretend to be a writer (I'm a musician who occasionally gets paid) but if someone wishes to read the works of an exceptionally brilliant creative story teller - Jimmy Doom!

BTW: send a press release to media outlets; something on the line of: Master Storyteller, Jimmy Doom of Jimmy Doom's Roulette Weal, has created original stories almost daily for XX years is currently on a streak of XXX consecutive days. I really enjoy when characters from one story spill over into the next tale that you share. Would love to see more of that in your writing! I'm always left feeling like I want to know more about these people that you write about since they really come to life in my imagination while I am reading your work.
Jimmy, your stuff is great. I wish I had some answers for you. Joe had some good ideas, including the press release. Why not flack your work and your achievements so far? Maybe include one of your pieces with the PR. Have you entered any of them for publication anywhere? Give Stripper a scrunch for me…
